Légua Tirana — Best Original Score, Triunfo Film Festival

Scene of the Movie

Légua Tirana is a Brazilian feature film with a score composed by Wagner Miranda, featuring special participation from two of Brazil's most legendary musicians: Hermeto Pascoal and Naná Vasconcelos. Iago recorded and mixed the score in its entirety.

At the 15th Triunfo Film Festival (December 2024), the film swept several major categories:

  • Best Original Score

  • Best Film — Official Jury

  • Best Film — Popular Jury

  • Best Screenplay

  • Best Art Direction

  • Best Actor

Winning both the official jury and popular jury awards for Best Film in the same year is a strong signal of the project's quality — critical acclaim and audience response aligned. Having a score with contributions from Hermeto Pascoal (widely considered one of the greatest and most influential Brazilian musicians alive) and Naná Vasconcelos (a Grammy-winning percussionist) places this among the most prestigious credits in Iago's catalog, even though press coverage of the award understandably centers on Wagner Miranda as composer.
