Necropolis — Award-Winning Horror Short
Necropolis is an independent Brazilian horror short directed by Italo Oliveira, and one of the most decorated projects Iago has worked on. The film became one of the most praised audiovisual production ever made in Juazeiro, Bahia, and went on to represent the state in a festival that selected only one film per state in Brazil.
Iago was responsible for sound design and mix on the project — work that contributed to the film's recognition at multiple festivals:
- Official selection at more than a dozen festivals across Brazil and in Europe,
including the Fiorenzo Serra Film Festival (Italy), Cinefantasy International
Fantastic Film Festival (São Paulo), Mostra Sesc de Cinema, Cine Horror,
Floripa Que Horror!, Quimerama and Boca do Inferno
Director Italo Oliveira described the film as "a collective dream that showed the strength of independent cinema in the Bahian interior," and revealed he's already writing the sequel, Ciano Morto.
